Day 1. Sun 28 Feb: Sydney - Norfolk Island, Mystery Dinner

We arrive on Norfolk Island and step off the plane into fresh ocean air. A Baunti Tours guide greets us at the airport and transfers us to Paradise Hotel & Resort where we settle in and begin our Foundation Week experience together. This evening, we enjoy the lively “Who Killed the Surveyor?” Murder Mystery Dinner. We step into a playful convict trial filled with laughter, suspense and a hearty island meal - a wonderful way to meet fellow travellers and set the tone for the week ahead.

Day 2. Mon 1 Mar: Discovery Norfolk Tour, Island Culture Tour

This morning we enjoy the Discover Norfolk Tour, a perfect introduction to the island. We take a scenic drive with knowledgeable local guides who share stories of Norfolk’s history, culture and landscapes, and we visit the local markets to experience island life firsthand. In the afternoon we join the Island Culture Tour where we learn how Polynesian, convict and Pitcairn influences have shaped Norfolk’s traditions, language and way of life. We taste local dishes prepared from seasonal island ingredients and gain a deeper appreciation of the community’s heritage. Tonight, we enjoy dinner together at the hotel.

Day 3. Tue 2 Mar: Today Tour, Taste of Norfolk, Baunti Show & Dinner

Today we discover how modern Norfolk operates during the Norfolk Today Tour. We go behind the scenes to learn how essential services function on a small South Pacific island - from fuel and freight to power generation, waste management and communications - and we meet the locals who keep everything running smoothly. This afternoon we experience Taste of Norfolk, sampling local dishes and delicacies while learning how the island’s environment and history have influenced its cuisine. This evening, we sit back and enjoy the Baunti Show & Dinner, an entertaining night of music, storytelling and hearty island fare.

Day 4. Wed 3 Mar: Glass Bottom Boat, Convict Kington Tour

We begin the day cruising over the crystal-clear waters of Emily Bay Lagoon on our Glass Bottom Boat experience. We observe colourful fish and coral formations beneath us and learn about reef ecology and marine conservation during an engaging reef briefing. Later we step back in time on our guided Convict Kingston Tour through the World Heritage-listed settlement. As we wander among the atmospheric ruins, we hear stories of convicts, officers and settlers who shaped the island’s dramatic past. Tonight, we attend the Commandant’s Dinner, an interactive theatre experience that brings the convict era vividly to life while we enjoy a hearty meal worthy of a colonial table.

Day 5. Thu 4 Mar: Breakfast Bush Walk, Shopping, Baunti Fish Fry

We start the day with an early Breakfast Bushwalk, taking in sweeping coastal views, spotting native plants and birdlife, and finishing with a delicious alfresco breakfast. The afternoon is free for shopping and exploring at our own pace - the perfect opportunity to browse local boutiques, pick up island crafts or simply relax. This evening, we attend the iconic Island Fish Fry, set at a stunning cliff-top location. We feast on freshly caught fish and island dishes while watching the sun set over the Pacific, accompanied by local music

Day 6. Fri 5 Mar: Colleen McCollough Tour, Farm & Industry Tour

This morning we visit “Out Yenna,” the home of world-renowned author Colleen McCullough. As we tour her magnificent residence, we view artefacts collected from around the world and gain insight into the life and legacy of this celebrated literary figure. Later we join the Farm & Industry Tour, visiting working farms and hydroponic operations to learn how Norfolk balances tradition with innovation and sustainability. This evening, we experience a highlight of the week - the Progressive Dinner, enjoying three courses across three different island homes. We share stories around the table, meet local hosts and experience genuine Norfolk hospitality.

Day 7. Sat 6 Mar: Foundation Day Re-Enactment & Lunch

Today we gather at Emily Bay in Historic Kingston to witness the Foundation Day re-enactment commemorating the arrival of Lt. Philip Gidley King and the First Fleeters on 6 March 1788, marking the first European settlement on Norfolk Island. We share this important public holiday celebration with the local community before enjoying a special Foundation Day lunch with complimentary refreshments. This evening, we enjoy dinner together at the hotel and reflect on a memorable week.

Day 8. Sun 7 Mar: Markets, Norfolk Island - Sydney

We enjoy a relaxed final morning with free time to revisit the markets, take a last stroll or simply soak in the peaceful island atmosphere. Later we transfer to Norfolk Island Airport for our flight home, departing with wonderful memories of Foundation Week and the warm hospitality of Norfolk Island.
