Day 1. Sun 14 Mar: Homeport to Canberra
FLIGHT DETAILS: To be advised Upon arrival in Sydney this morning we depart for Australia's capital. Along the way we enjoy a comfort stop and time to purchase some lunch at the iconic Trappers Bakery beside the famous Big Merino in Goulburn, before continuing to Canberra, arriving on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin to begin our exploration at the National Archives of Australia . We then check in at our hotel, freshen up and regather for a welcome dinner.

Day 2. Mon 15 Mar: Canberra Balloon Spectacular & Parliament House
An early start this morning as we head to Queen Elizabeth Terrace for a sunrise cruise on Lake Burley Griffin, taking in the spectacular sight of hot air balloons lifting off as part of the Canberra Balloon Spectacular, with commentary on the city's monuments and history along the way. From here we head back to our hotel for breakfast before a tour of Parliament House, visiting the Senate and House of Representatives Chambers, Members Hall, Great Hall Tapestry and Magna Carta, before free time for lunch. This afternoon we visit Changi Chapel and the Australian War Memorial, concluding with the moving Last Post Ceremony.

Day 3. Tue 16 Mar: Space Centre, Nat Arboretum & Portrait Gallery
Today we travel to the Canberra Space Centre at Paddy's Creek, part of the Canberra Deep Space Communication Complex, enjoying an engaging presentation on space and communication along with time to explore the exhibits. Next we visit the National Arboretum, home to a stunning collection of rare and symbolic trees plus the National Bonsai and Penjing Collection, with a garden walk, Bonsai tour, lunch and magnificent views included. This afternoon we visit the Portrait Gallery, showcasing portraits of significant Australians.

Day 4. Wed 17 Mar: Bungendore to Homeport
After breakfast and checkout, we begin our journey home with a delightful visit to the charming rural village of Bungendore, known for its colonial-era buildings, local artisans, antique stores and boutique galleries, with free time to explore and purchase lunch at leisure. This afternoon we travel via Goulburn, making our way back to our homeport after a wonderful time discovering the beauty, culture and creativity of the National Capital Region, returning with great company, treasured moments and fond memories from our journey with Trade Travel.
