Day 1. Sun 01 Feb: Homeport to Hobart
FLIGHT DETAILS: To be advised
Today we arrive into Hobart and transfer to our hotel near the waterfront and historic Salamanca precinct. The afternoon is kept free to allow us to settle in after travel and to enjoy the harbour atmosphere. A gentle walk along Salamanca Place introduces Hobart’s historic sandstone warehouses, galleries and cafés. In the evening, we enjoy a welcome dinner at a well-regarded local restaurant showcasing Tasmania’s seafood and seasonal produce. The pace is intentionally relaxed, allowing us to ease into Tasmania’s calm lifestyle.

Day 2. Mon 02 Feb: Bruny Island Gourmet Experience
After breakfast, we depart Hobart for a full-day Bruny Island Gourmet Experience. We travel to Kettering and ferry to across to Bruny Island, enjoying scenic coastal views. We visit the Bruny Island Cheese Company for tastings, followed by freshly shucked oysters at Get Shucked, we then continue onto Bruny Island Premium Wines for a relaxed vineyard lunch featuring seasonal Tasmanian produce paired with cool-climate wines, stopping at The Neck lookout for panoramic views before returning to Hobart late afternoon. Dinner this evening is at our hotel.

Day 3. Tue 03 Feb: Huon Valley Day Tour
This morning we enjoy breakfast at our hotel before we depart for a scenic journey through the Huon Valley. Visiting Willie Smith’s Apple Shed for a cider tasting and relaxed lunch in its charming orchard setting. We then continue onto the Two Bud Spur Vineyard to sample cool-climate wines, we then travel on to Hartshorn Distillery for a distinctive spirits tasting experience. After a day of indulgence and local flavours, we return back to our accommodation to unwind before enjoying dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Day 4. Wed 04 Feb: Hobart to Freycinet
We depart Hobart after breakfast and travel through the Coal River Valley, stopping in historic Richmond to explore its heritage streetscape and enjoy morning tea by the famous Richmond Bridge. We continue along Tasmania’s scenic East Coast, we arrive in Swansea for a relaxed waterfront lunch. Afterwards we journey on to Bicheno, arriving mid-afternoon. We settle into our coastal accommodation before enjoying a gentle walk along the foreshore or visiting the Bicheno Blowhole. We conclude the day with a relaxed dinner.

Day 5. Thu 05 Feb: Freycinet & East Coast
We begin the day with breakfast at our hotel, before we travel to Coles Bay to check in for our Wineglass Bay Cruise at 61 Jetty Road. Enjoy a spectacular coastal journey beneath the Hazards, with informative commentary and a freshly prepared lunch served onboard. After returning to Coles Bay, we visit Cape Tourville Lighthouse for panoramic ocean views via the accessible boardwalk. Later, we return to Bicheno with time to relax before dinner at the hotel overlooking the sea.

Day 6. Fri 06 Feb: Freycinet to Launceston
We leave Beachfront Bicheno and travel north along Tasmania’s scenic coastline, stopping at Freycinet Marine Farm to enjoy freshly shucked oysters and local seafood. We continue through the rolling countryside to Launceston, we arrive in time for a relaxed lunch at a well-regarded riverside restaurant showcasing seasonal Tasmanian produce. In the afternoon we enjoy a Cataract Gorge cruise along the Tamar River, taking in dramatic cliffs and landscaped gardens with informative commentary. Afterwards, we continue onto our hotel for check-in and dinner.

Day 7. Sat 07 Feb: Tamar Valley Day Tour
We begin the day with breakfast at our hotel before departing for a scenic drive into Tasmania’s renowned wine region. We enjoy a premium tasting at Josef Chromy Wines, sampling elegant cool-climate varietals in a picturesque lakeside setting. Continuing onto Pipers Brook Vineyard for another tasting, discovering the distinctive character of the region’s wines. Savouring a relaxed lunch at Timbre Kitchen at Velo Wines, celebrated for its seasonal, locally sourced cuisine. We return to the hotel with time to unwind, before we regroup for our farewell dinner.

Day 8. Sun 08 Feb: Depart Launceston for your homeport
Today we enjoy a relaxed breakfast before taking in our final moments in Launceston. After check-out, we transfer to Launceston Airport for our onward journey home. Along the way, we reflect as a group on the memorable experiences, regional flavours and scenic landscapes discovered throughout our Tasmania journey. Upon arrival at the airport, we proceed with check-in formalities and prepare for departure, bringing our ‘A Taste of Tasmania’ tour with Trade Travel to a smooth and memorable conclusion.
