We arrive on beautiful Norfolk Island, where we are warmly welcomed by our friendly Baunti Tours guide and transferred to our accommodation. After settling in, the afternoon is ours to relax at leisure - perhaps unwind, explore the resort surrounds, or simply soak up the tranquil atmosphere of this island paradise. This evening, we come together to enjoy a delicious dinner at our resort restaurant, the perfect way to begin our Norfolk Island Garden Week.

Day 2. Thu 08 Oct: Bushwalk, Discover Norfolk Tour & Island Fish Fry

We start the day with a refreshing Breakfast Bushwalk, enjoying panoramic coastal views while spotting native plants and birdlife. A well-earned outdoor breakfast awaits us at the end of the walk. This afternoon, we enjoy the Discover Norfolk Tour, the perfect introduction to the island. Travelling by scenic drive with knowledgeable local guides, we learn about Norfolk’s history, culture and landscapes, helping to set the scene for the days ahead. Tonight, we gather for a truly special island tradition - the iconic Island Fish Fry (weather dependent). Set on a clifftop with breathtaking ocean views, we feast on freshly caught fish and local dishes as the sun sets, accompanied by live music and a vibrant performance by Norfolk Island Dancers.

Day 3. Fri 09 Oct: Culture, Lavender & Local Life

We begin with the Island Culture Tour, where we learn how Polynesian, convict and Pitcairn influences have all left their mark on Norfolk life. Taste local dishes using ingredients found around the island and in the garden. Afterwards, we visit a picturesque Lavender Farm, where the fragrance and colour create a sense of calm. We explore the property and then savour a paddock-to-plate lunch made with fresh farm produce. This evening, we experience true island hospitality during our Progressive Dinner, with each course hosted in a different Norfolk home. We enjoy homecooked meals and warm conversations with our local hosts.

Day 4. Sat 10 Oct: Gardens & Coral Reefs

Today’s Gardener’s Delight Tour takes us into three unique private gardens. From lush subtropical plantings to

lovingly tended cottage gardens, we meet the proud owners and hear their personal stories. In the afternoon, we

board a Glass Bottom Boat to glide over vibrant coral reefs in the clear waters of Emily Bay Lagoon. We then join

Susan Prior for a fascinating Reef Brief, learning about rare marine species and reef conservation. We wind down

with a relaxing Scenic BBQ Dinner, enjoying hearty food and sweeping views over Norfolk’s countryside.

Day 5. Sun 11 Oct: Markets, History & Mystery

We start with a visit to a local church service, followed by time to browse the popular Sunday Craft Markets, full of local creativity and fresh island produce. In the afternoon, we journey into the past with the Convict Kingston Tour, exploring the World Heritage-listed site with its fascinating stories and ruins that speak of Norfolk’s early colonial days. Tonight, we enjoy an interactive and entertaining Murder Mystery Dinner, stepping into the shoes of characters in a convict trial as we enjoy laughs and a delicious meal.

Day 6. Mon 12 Oct: Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society Show Day

This morning is ours to spend at leisure - perhaps revisit a favourite spot or simply relax and soak up the springtime beauty. After a relaxed morning we join in the island’s Annual Royal Agricultural & Horticultural Society Show Day, a celebration of Norfolk’s rich farming, gardening and creative traditions. With local produce displays, competitions, food stalls, crafts, and family-friendly fun, it’s a highlight of the community calendar. We finish the day with dinner back at our resort, sharing stories and enjoying the relaxed island atmosphere as we look ahead to our final full day of touring.

Day 7. Tue 13 Oct: Farm Life & Flavours

We begin the day with a fascinating Farm & Industry Tour, visiting working farms and hydroponic gardens, and seeing firsthand how islanders balance traditional methods with innovation. In the afternoon, we indulge once more in the Taste of Norfolk, discovering new flavours rooted in local history and ingredients. Tonight you’ll enjoy a twocourse meal at Hilli’s Restaurant, one of Norfolk’s most loved dining spots. Take a gentle stroll through the Queen Victoria Gardens, located right next door. These memorial gardens, created by local horticulturist Marie Bailey, are a living tribute to the connection between Pitcairn settlers and Queen Victoria.

Before we say goodbye to this island paradise, we join a National Park Ranger for a guided walk through the Botanic Gardens. With a camera full of photos and hearts full of memories, we’re transferred to the airport for our return flight home.
