Cunnamulla Outback Wellness Experience

FLIGHT DETAILS: Home Port - Brisbane (flight details upon request) Today we fly into Brisbane, arriving mid-afternoon and ready to settle in ahead of our early departure tomorrow morning. On arrival, we make our own way to our hotel to check in and unwind, with time to relax before the outback adventure truly begins. This evening is at leisure, with dinner available at the hotel restaurant. We take the opportunity to rest well, as tomorrow brings an early start and our first taste of true outback hospitality in Cunnamulla.

FLIGHT DETAILS: ZL5631 Brisbane - Cunnamulla (2-stops) 08:00/11:15 (flight details are subject to change) This morning we rise early for our flight to Cunnamulla via Toowoomba and St George, touching down mid- morning to a warm outback welcome from our expert local guide, Peieta Mills. We check in at the Club Boutique Hotel, our home for the tour, and take time to settle in. This afternoon, we unwind at the Cunnamulla Hot Springs, soaking among gum trees beside the Warrego River across seven geothermal pools, plus the relaxation room, steam room and sauna, before enjoying dinner together.

After breakfast, we explore the region's rich educational history, learning how Catholic priests, the Sisters of Mercy and the Bush Brothers shaped outback learning. We discover the remarkable life of James Tyson, Australia's first self-made millionaire, and the legacy of Alan Tannock, who spent over 45 years studying the Warrego River system. We continue through contemporary and environmental art from local artists, and late this afternoon we relax in the Cunnamulla Railway Station theatre for the “Cunnamulla All Aboard” light and sound show, before dinner.

After a leisurely breakfast, we travel west to explore Cobb & Co history along the Cunnamulla-Eulo route, hearing colourful stories of river crossings and legendary drivers. We step back to 1880 in Eulo, guided by tales of the famed Eulo Queen, and visit the historic Eulo Queen Hotel, followed by lunch. A highlight is the rejuvenating Artesian Mud Baths, renowned for their therapeutic clays. On our return, we learn about local vegetation and carbon farming before gathering for a relaxed dinner together.

We enjoy our final opportunity to explore Cunnamulla’s shops and discover unique souvenirs, getting in early as many stores close at midday and remain closed until Monday. Guests can also enjoy some well-deserved relaxation at the Club Boutique Day Spa, taking time to unwind and recharge before the evening’s festivities. Midafternoon, we embark on an authentic outback culinary dinner experience, with each course served at an iconic outback location paired with the perfect beverage. The evening culminates in a memorable “Plate in the Paddock” under the stars, a fitting finale to our final night in the outback.

All good things must come to an end, and today we farewell the outback with heartfelt gratitude for an unforgettable week. This morning we enjoy a relaxed breakfast together at the Club Boutique Hotel, sharing conversation, laughter and stories from our outback adventure before we pack our bags. We then depart the hotel for Cunnamulla Airport to check in for our flights home, bidding our new outback friends a fond farewell as we return back home, via Brisbane.
