Day 1. Tue 07 Sep: Homeport - Canberra
FLIGHT DETAILS: VA1210 Brisbane - Canberra 08:50/10:40 | VA259 Melbourne - Canberra 08:45/09:50 | VA634 Sydney - Canberra 08:50/09:50 (flight details are subject to change) We arrive in Canberra and enjoy free time for lunch before our tour of the iconic Parliament House. Inside, we step into the Senate and House of Representatives Chambers, then wander through the Members Hall beneath the magnificent Great Hall Tapestry. We view a rare 1297 Magna Carta, one of only four originals outside Britain, before admiring Tom Roberts' grand "Big Picture," capturing the opening of the first Federal Parliament. We finish with time on the Forecourt, taking in sweeping views across the national capital.

Day 2: Wed 08 Sep: Young (Canola Country) – Cowra – Mudgee
Today we travel through Harden & Murrumburrah, surrounded by endless canola fields glowing gold across rolling hills to Young for wine tasting at a local winery. Onward to Cowra, visiting the serene Japanese Garden and POW Camp site, both showcasing moving wartime history and tranquil beauty. We then continue through the pretty Lachlan Valley to Bathurst, where we enjoy a lap around the legendary Mount Panorama Circuit. Following lunch, we travel through the Capertee Valley, the world’s second-largest canyon before arriving in Mudgee, heart of the Central West wine region. Dinner tonight is in our hotel restaurant.

Day 3. Thu 9 Sep: Mudgee History & Gourmet Delights
We begin with a visit to the Colonial Inn Museum, one of regional NSW’s finest. Enjoy a guided town tour revealing Mudgee’s colonial architecture and pioneering heritage. This afternoon indulge in tastings at High Valley Cheese Factory, Robert Stein Vineyard & Motorcycle Museum, and Mudgee Honey Haven. Sample local cheeses, wines, and sweet treats before returning to our hotel to relax.

Day 4. Fri 10 Sep: Gulgong Gold & Heritage
A short drive brings us to the historic gold-rush town of Gulgong, the “town on the ten-dollar note.” Our heritage trail includes the Holtermann Museum, Henry Lawson Centre, and Gulgong Pioneers Museum, all rich in colonial history. Enjoy free time to browse the quaint main street’s cafés and galleries. Returning to Mudgee, we call in at Gooree Park Stud & Vineyard for wine tasting and a look at their champion racehorses. Dinner is at our hotel tonight.

Day 5. Sat 11 Sep: Mudgee – Wellington Caves – Orange
Departing Mudgee, we travel to the fascinating Wellington Caves Complex for a guided Cathedral Cave tour, featuring impressive crystal formations. Non-cave guests may enjoy the Ancient Landscape Gallery or Japanese Gardens nearby. After lunch at the Caves Café, we continue to Orange, calling at the beautiful Botanic Gardens for a stroll among spring blooms. Check in for two nights and dine in-house this evening.

Day 6. Sun 12 Sep: Orange & Millthorpe Village -Bathurst
A local guide joins us for a morning tour of Cook Park, showcasing vibrant tulips and seasonal displays. At nearby Millthorpe, explore the Golden Memories Museum, then enjoy lunch at the charming Millthorpe Providore. Returning to Orange, we visit Philip Shaw Wines for a relaxed tasting of cool-climate varieties matched with local produce. We leave Orange and travel to Bathurst checking into the Rydges Mount Panorama this afternoon, with time to relax and freshen up ahead of our farewell dinner together this evening.

Day 7. Mon 13 Sep: Mayfield Garden - Katoomba - Sydney Airport - Homeport
This morning we visit the magnificent Mayfield Garden, Australia's largest privately owned cool-climate garden. After an introduction from our garden host, enjoy time to explore the Water Garden, Box Hedge Maze, and seasonal spring blooms. We continue our journey through the rolling countryside of the NSW Central West, watching the landscape shift from open plains to the dramatic escarpments of the Blue Mountains. Visit the iconic Three Sisters at Katoomba, taking in sweeping views across the Jamison Valley, before enjoying free time to explore Katoomba town centre and purchase lunch at leisure. This afternoon, we transfer to Sydney Airport in preparation for our return flight to our homeport.
