Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Auckland

Discover a trio of gardens on this 6-day holiday package from Auckland to Rotorua. Collect your vehicle from Auckland Airport and make your way to the city for a two night stay to discover New Zealand's largest city.

Day 2: Auckland

Visit the Auckland Botanic Gardens and marvel at a spectacular South Pacific botanic garden focused on unique and distinct landscapes. You may wish to visit the private garden of Ayrlies, located east of Auckland.

Day 3: Auckland to Hamilton

Today you travel towards Hamilton. The 1.5 hour drive between the two locations offers multiple opportunities for stops along the way. Upon arrival in Hamilton, check into your accommodation before an afternoon guided tour of Hamilton Gardens.

Day 4: Hamilton to Rotorua

Depart Hamilton for Rotorua where you will stop at the mystical lush pastures of the Hobbiton Movie Set. Your local guide will escort you around the set, showing the intricate detailing, pointing out the most famous locations and explaining how the movie magic was made before feasting on an epic buffet lunch.

Day 5: Rotorua

Experience the majestic and magical Redwoods Treewalk. Hidden amongst 75-metre-tall redwoods, you will be suspended high above the forest floor across eco-suspended bridges and platforms, providing beautiful unfiltered views of this natural environment. The afternoon is at your leisure, you may wish to visit Rotorua Museum, or the public park of Government Gardens.

Day 6: Depart Auckland

Check out of your hotel in Rotorua before returning to Auckland Airport where your 5 Night A Trio of Gardens package will end.
