Day 1. Fri 16 Apr: Sydney Central Station Coach Terminal to Tumut
Depart Sydney this morning from the Sydney Central Station Coach Terminal and begin our scenic journey through regional New South Wales. Pause in Goulburn for a refreshment break before continuing to Harden– Murrumburrah. Explore the Flour Mill Silo Mural and Light Horse Memorial, then hear the legendary story of “Bill the Bastard” while enjoying a relaxing lunch. Continue through picturesque countryside lined with autumn colors enroute to Tumut. On arrival, check into our accommodation, take time to freshen up, and enjoy a welcoming dinner. Settle in for a relaxing evening surrounded by crisp air and vibrant seasonal landscapes.

Day 2. Sat 17 Apr: Tumut & Adelong Exploration
After breakfast, meet a knowledgeable local guide for an immersive tour of Tumut and its surrounds. Stroll along the Tumut River Walk and through Alex Stockwell Gardens, where autumn foliage provides a stunning backdrop. Visit the historic Broom Factory and browse the Visitor Centre before enjoying free time for lunch. This afternoon, travel to Adelong Falls Gold Mine Ruins and explore its heritage listed site, followed by a visit to the Adelong Alive Museum. Return to Tumut for a brewery tour, tastings, and dinner.

Day 3. Sun 18 Apr: Snowy Mountains & Yarrangobilly Caves
Today travel along the Snowy Mountains Highway, passing Blowering Dam on your way to Talbingo. Take in impressive views of the Tumut 3 Power Station before stopping at scenic lookouts overlooking the Bogong Wilderness. Continue into Kosciuszko National Park to explore the Yarrangobilly Caves, including a guided tour of Jillabenan Cave with its intricate limestone formations. Enjoy a picnic lunch within the reserve and free time to wander walking tracks and enjoy the tranquil alpine environment.

Day 4. Mon 19 Apr: Tumbarumba, Gardens & Local Delights
Journey to Tumbarumba and visit the Pioneer Women’s Hut Museum, showcasing stories of early settlers. Continue to Braymont Gardens, a vibrant open garden featuring the famous “tree church,” where we will enjoy a light lunch with scenic views. Later, spend time at a local property meeting rescued animals and sampling handcrafted cider. Travel back via Batlow with a stop at a local farm shop for regional produce. Return to Tumut for our final evening, with time to relax, reflect, and enjoy dinner in a peaceful countryside setting.

Day 5. Tue 20 Apr: Tumut to Sydney Central Station Coach Terminal
After breakfast, farewell Tumut and begin the return journey to Sydney. Travel via Gundagai, stopping to view Rusconi’s Marble Masterpiece and enjoy a stroll through Carberry Park, rich with autumn color. Take time for photos with the iconic Dog on the Tuckerbox figures nearby. Continue to Bowning for a relaxed lunch at a rustic café before completing the journey. Arrive back in Sydney late afternoon, concluding a memorable escape filled with scenic beauty, local heritage, and the rich colors of autumn.
