Our 1960’s ex-Southern Aurora train is the most convenient and stylish way to enjoy Australia’s greatest touring car race. Board the train at Central Station, Sydney on Friday lunchtime. Sit back and relax as we travel to Bathurst. Enjoy the convenience of staying on board the train on Friday, Saturday and Sunday Nights. Coaches will take you to and from the circuit.
Day1 - Friday 6 October 2023: Central Station, Sydney-Bathurst
Your Repco Bathurst 1000 Aurora adventure starts at Central Station, Sydney at approximately 12:30pm. Welcome aboard the 1960’s vintage Aurora Australis where you can choose to sit in the lounge or dining carriages, or your private compartment.
Today we’ll spend the afternoon on the train, climbing the spectacular Great Dividing Range west of Sydney to the peak of the line at Mount Victoria. We’ll then descend, travelling through the 10 tunnels which replaced the famous Lithgow Zig-Zag, followed by rolling hills on the way to Bathurst Railway Station.
A delicious Lunch hamper will be served in your compartment or select the additional cost option of a long lunch served on board the train in the Dining Carriage today.

Day 2 - Saturday 7 October2023: Bathurst
Enjoy breakfast on board the Aurora Australis before boarding coaches to the iconic Mount Panorama Race Circuit.
Lunch is at your own arrangements at the circuit.
Coaches will return you to the train after qualifying concludes.
Join us for a beer tasting and dinner at Reckless Brewing (additional cost), or make your own arrangements in the historic city of Bathurst, which is within walking distance of the train.

Day 3 - Saturday 8 October 2023: Bathurst
Enjoy breakfast on board the Aurora Australis before boarding coaches to Mount Panorama Race Circuit for the running of the Repco Bathurst 1000
Lunch today is at your own choice and cost.
Your coaches will return you to the train at the conclusion of the 60th running of this iconic race.
Dinner today is at your own choice and cost.

Day 4 - Monday 9 October 2023 : Bathurst - Central Station, Sydney
Enjoy breakfast on board as we travel from Bathurst through the rolling hills toward the Great Dividing Range. Pass through Lithgow and see the viaducts of the newly re-opened Zig-Zag Railway, before passing and through the 10 tunnels that replaced the Lithgow Zig-Zag, then cross the Darling Causeway on the way to the highest point of Mount Victoria. We’ll then descend the Great Dividing Range through Katoomba. Additional stops will be scheduled at Penrith 9:30am, Blacktown 10:00am, Granville 9:50am, Strathfield 10:30am before arriving at Central Station, Sydney at 10:45am.
