Day 1. Mon 11 Oct: Homeport - Melbourne to Lakes Entrance
FLIGHT DETAILS:
Homeport - Melbourne (flight details to be advised)
Depart Melbourne and travel east through Victoria’s Gippsland region, passing through Warragul, Traralgon and Sale. Enjoy a relaxed lunch stop in Traralgon before continuing via the Princes Highway to Lakes Entrance. Travel through Bairnsdale and alongside the Gippsland Lakes, arriving mid-afternoon. On arrival, we check in to our accommodation and enjoy time to unwind or take a gentle stroll along the waterfront, known for its fishing fleet and coastal scenery.

Day 2. Tue 12 Oct: Winery Cruise & Lakes Entrance
After breakfast, enjoy time to explore the Griffiths Sea Shell Museum or wander through the Lakes Entrance shopping precinct and the WW1 Avenue of Honour Memorial Tree Statues. Mid-morning, board the delightful Wyanga Park Winery Lunch Cruise. After a relaxing lunch and wine tasting at Wyanga Park, cruise back to Lakes Entrance before visiting the unique Stony Creek Trestle Bridge. Return to the motel to freshen up before dinner.

Day 3. Wed 13 Oct: Gippsland Lakes - Nyerimilang Park Homestead
Cruising across Lake King and along the picturesque shores of Metung, we arrive at the Metung Hotel for lunch. This afternoon, travel to Bairnsdale to admire the stunning murals inside St Mary’s Church, painted by Italian artist Francesco Floreani during the Great Depression. We then continue via the historic Nyerimilang Park Homestead, overlooking the Gippsland Lakes and surrounded by beautiful gardens and lawns. Explore displays highlighting the region’s natural resources and local history before returning to Lakes Entrance. After time to relax at our accommodation, we gather later this evening for dinner.

Day 4. Thu 14 Oct: Lakes Entrance - Raymond Island
After breakfast, travel through Bairnsdale to Paynesville, a charming lakeside township on the shores of Lake Victoria. Enjoy time to explore the waterfront and marina before ferrying across to Raymond Island, a haven for nature lovers and koala spotting. Wander the famous Koala Trail at your own pace, keeping an eye out for these iconic locals in the treetops. Return via ferry to Paynesville for a relaxed lunch overlooking the water, then visit the Krowathunkooloong Keeping Place Museum to learn about Aboriginal East Gippsland culture. Later, return to Lakes Entrance to relax before dinner.

Day 5. Fri 15 Oct: Victoria Rose & Tea Rooms - Melbourne - Homeport
After breakfast, depart Lakes Entrance and travel west through Bairnsdale and Sale. Visit the fascinating Gippsland Vehicle Collection in Maffra, showcasing classic cars, motorcycles and motoring memorabilia. Continue to Rosedale for lunch at the Victoria Rose & Tea Room in beautiful surrounds. Later, travel via Warragul and the Princes Freeway, arriving back into Melbourne late afternoon, concluding a memorable Gippsland Lakes getaway.
