Our adventure begins as we board our international flight to Japan. Sit back, relax, and get excited for the incredible experiences ahead. A little rest on the flight will help us arrive refreshed and ready to explore Japan’s vibrant culture, amazing cuisine, and unforgettable sights. The holiday of a lifetime starts here!

Day 2. Arrival Tokyo
We arrive in Tokyo and meet our English-speaking assistant for a smooth airport transfer. Check into our hotel and settle into our surroundings. Take a gentle walk nearby to stretch after the flight, perhaps exploring local shops or grabbing our first Japanese meal.

Day 3. Tokyo Highlights
Today we discover Tokyo’s cultural and modern icons on a guided tour. Visit Meiji Shrine, a peaceful forest sanctuary, then pass through bustling Shibuya Crossing. Head to Tokyo Tower for panoramic views before enjoying a scenic Sumida River cruise. Experience a traditional tea ceremony, offering insight into Japanese etiquette and mindfulness. Explore Asakusa’s historic district and browse Nakamise Street for souvenirs and street snacks. This day balances tradition and modernity, giving us a comprehensive introduction to Tokyo’s character, energy, and cultural depth.

Day 4. Mt Fuji & Kawaguchi
Travel to the Mt Fuji region for a scenic day trip. Visit the 5th Station (weather permitting) for close-up views of Japan’s iconic peak. Enjoy Lake Kawaguchi with a relaxing cruise, followed by a ride on the Panorama Ropeway for sweeping vistas. Explore Oshino Hakkai, a charming village with clear spring ponds and traditional houses. This day highlights Japan’s natural beauty and offers excellent photo opportunities. This evening, we return to Tokyo, reflecting on the contrast between urban life and serene landscapes.

Day 5. Tokyo Free Day
Enjoy a full day at leisure in Tokyo. You may choose to explore districts like Harajuku for fashion, Akihabara for electronics and anime, or Ginza for upscale shopping. Visit museums, relax in a café, or try a themed restaurant experience. Alternatively, revisit favorite spots from earlier days. This flexibility allows us to tailor our experience - whether cultural, culinary, or leisurely. Tokyo’s endless variety ensures there’s always something new to discover, making this a personalised and memorable day.

Day 6. Tokyo to Kanazawa
Today we board the bullet train to Kanazawa, enjoying a comfortable and efficient journey. Upon arrival, explore Omicho Market for fresh seafood and local specialties. Visit Kenrokuen Garden, one of Japan’s most beautiful landscape gardens, known for seasonal beauty. Continue to the Nomura Samurai House to glimpse historic samurai life. The city blends Edo-era charm with refined culture. We check into our hotel and unwind. Kanazawa offers a quieter, more traditional atmosphere compared to Tokyo, providing a refreshing change of pace.

Day 7. Shirakawago & Takayama
Embark on a full-day excursion through rural Japan. Visit Takayama’s morning market and historic old town, famous for sake breweries and artisan shops. Enjoy sake tasting before heading to Shirakawago, a UNESCO-listed village known for its thatched-roof houses. Continue to Gokayama to explore traditional folk culture. This day offers insight into Japan’s countryside heritage, architecture, and craftsmanship. Day 8. Kanazawa to Kyoto

This day transitions us into Japan’s cultural heart, offering a refined and immersive experience. Settle into our hotel and prepare for deeper exploration of temples, gardens, and traditions.

Day 9. Kyoto Exploration
Discover Kyoto’s iconic landmarks. Visit Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion), shimmering in gold, and Ryoan-ji’s famous Zen rock garden. Wander through Arashiyama’s bamboo forest and enjoy a Hozu River boat ride. Conclude at Tofuku-ji Temple, known for its architecture and seasonal beauty. This day showcases Kyoto’s spiritual and aesthetic richness. Each site offers a different perspective on Japanese philosophy, nature, and design. We return to our hotel inspired by Kyoto’s timeless elegance and cultural significance.

Today is a free day to explore Kyoto at our own pace. Consider visiting Fushimi Inari Shrine, Nishiki Market, or additional temples and gardens. Whether seeking quiet reflection, shopping, or culinary discovery, Kyoto offers endless possibilities. Take time to absorb the city’s slower rhythm and refined atmosphere before continuing our journey.

Day 11. Kyoto to Hiroshima
We travel by bullet train to Hiroshima today. Visit the Peace Memorial Museum, Atomic Bomb Dome, and Peace Park. These sites provide a moving and educational experience, reflecting on history and resilience. The atmosphere is solemn yet hopeful, emphasizing peace and remembrance. After sightseeing, we check into our hotel and relax. Hiroshima’s story is powerful and thought-provoking, offering a meaningful contrast to earlier cultural and scenic experiences on our journey.

Day 12. Miyajima Excursion
Take a ferry to Miyajima Island, famous for Itsukushima Shrine and its floating torii gate. We explore the island at our own pace, enjoying scenic views, local shops, and possibly hiking trails. This day combines natural beauty, spirituality, and relaxation, making it one of Japan’s most picturesque destinations.

Day 13. Hiroshima to Osaka via Himeji
Travel to Himeji to visit its famous White Heron Castle, one of Japan’s most impressive historic structures. Optionally explore Mt. Shosha or Kokoen Garden. Continue to Osaka and experience Dotonbori’s vibrant nightlife, neon lights, and street food scene. This day blends history with modern excitement. Osaka’s lively energy and culinary reputation provide a dynamic contrast to earlier destinations.

Day 14. Osaka Free Day
Enjoy a free day in Osaka. Explore areas like Shinsaibashi for shopping or visit the Osaka Aquarium. Food lovers can indulge in local specialties like takoyaki and okonomiyaki. Osaka is known for its friendly atmosphere and vibrant culture. Use this day to relax or dive deeper into the city’s entertainment and culinary offerings.

Day 15. Nara & Osaka
Take a day trip to Nara. Visit Todai-ji Temple to see the Great Buddha and stroll through Nara Deer Park. Participate in a cultural experience such as calligraphy or ink-making. Return to Osaka for a kimono experience and photos near Osaka Castle. Explore Kuromon Market and enjoy a farewell dinner. This final full day combines culture, fun, and reflection on our journey.
