Most rewarding part of my job:

The most rewarding part of my job is creating holidays where dreams are fulfilled. I am fully invested when helping clients plan, especially when it comes to exotic destinations. I am very lucky as a few of my clients really stretch the boundaries and I have sent clients all over the world, even to the Ivory Coast. It is wonderful to see pictures of places that I had no idea were so beautiful.

Best travel tip:

Let go! Luggage may get lost, planes may get delayed, transfers may not turn up and it is annoying but it is all a part of the adventure.

My claim to fame:

No claims to fame as such but have met a few famous people in my travels. Prince Charles and the Spice girls on the same day in London. Can you get such different celebrities?

Most memorable cultural experience:

I have had many. One that that springs to mind is dining with a local family who had opened their home in a village in Central Sri Lanka. Every piece of furniture and tableware had been sourced from the village to accommodate the group, the surroundings were less than spectacular but that could not be said of the food and the beaming faces of the village children who were so excited we were there.
