Day 1: Australia – Vancouver - Edmonton - Fort McMurray.
Fly from Australia to Fort McMurray via Vancouver and Edmonton. Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. Later in the evening set out to the aurora viewing site and seek the sight of the Northern Lights. Return to the hotel in the
early hours of the morning.
Day 2-3: Aurora Viewing
Days are free to spend on optional activities. Spend the evenings Aurora Borealis viewing as per day 2. Take advantage of the professional onsite photographer for
tips on the perfect Aurora / night image or join the Aurora & Star interpretive presentation. Enjoying
complimentary snowshoeing or a Boreal Forest interpretative walk during the viewing time.
Day 4: Fort McMurray – Edmonton
Time at leisure prior to transferring to the airport for the flight to Edmonton. Remainder of day at leisure.
Day 5: Edmonton.
Days at leisure to explore the capital city of Alberta.
Day 6: Edmonton – Jasper
Coach transfer from Edmonton to Jasper.
Day 7: Jasper
Day at leisure to explore Jasper.
Day 8: Maligne Canyon Ice Walk*
Experience the wonders of the Maligne Canyon along the frozen canyon floor and past its ice clad limestone walls.
Day 9: Jasper – Lake Louise.
Travel southward along the Icefields Parkway to Lake Louise. This evening enjoy a wonderful sleigh ride besides the shore of Lake Louise.
Day 10: Lake Louise
Day at leisure to enjoy the many Winter activities surrounding Lake Louise
Day 11: Lake Louise – Banff
Drive the scenic Bow Valley to Banff, arriving around midday. This afternoon is free to enjoy the sights of Banff.
Day 12: Snowshoeing to Paint Pots Tour
Enjoy a day of snowshoeing through the Vermillion
River Valley to Paint Pots, a cultural treasure within the National Park.
Day 13: Banff – Calgary – Vancouver - Australia
Morning free to explore Banff, before
departing for Calgary. Fly from Calgary to Australia, via Vancouver
Day 14: Inflight.
Day 15: Arrive Australia.
