North west of Cairns sits Northern Australia's largest hidden secret, Mount Mulligan, boasting a spectacular 18 kilometre ridge that is ten times larger than Uluru. Mount Mulligan is a heritage site with a breathtaking landscape of expansive rugged terrain that meets a sparkling barramundi filled weir bordered by iconic eucalyptus trees. In the shadow of majestic Mount Mulligan sits the all-inclusive luxury lodge located within Mt Mulligan station. Located on a 28,000 hectare outback property, guests staying at Mt Mulligan Lodge will be able to experience the spirit of North Queensland back-country through the daily operations of a working cattle station. The all-inclusive luxury lodge will accommodate just 16 guests at one time and will feature four luxury rooms and four luxury suites, a beautifully designed pavilion for meals and relaxation, and an infinity pool situated to look over the sparkling weir and facade of Mt. Mulligan. In keeping with the sustainability values across the Northern Escape Collection, the resort will be environmentally friendly, running on solar power, energy efficient fittings and adopting sustainable building design methods. At Mt Mulligan Lodge, guests will be able to enjoy all of the good things in life including chef-prepared gourmet meals, a curated wine list celebrating the best of wine from Australia and beyond, and a range of activities that make the most of what the beautiful landscape has to offer including exploratory walks, four-wheel driving, fishing for barramundi and cattle mustering. Mt Mulligan lodge is accessible via a scenic 30min helicopter trip from Cairns serviced by Nautilus Aviation, providing a birds-eye view of the changing landscape from reef to rainforest and the outback that is unique to far north Queensland. For the adventurous self-driver, Mt Mulligan station is a two and a half hour 4wd adventure from Cairns, through rugged outback. Northern Escape Collection will be offering bespoke itineraries providing a once in a lifetime experience to explore some of the world's most unique natural wonders, connecting Mt Mulligan Lodge to Daintree Ecolodge, Orpheus Island Lodge and luxury motor yacht M.Y. Flying Fish.
