Itinerary Details

Day 1

Miami. Welcome to Miami where your journey into wonder begins with a warm greeting by the crew as you step on board Scenic Eclipse. Raise your glass this evening and toast to the start of your luxury cruise. Please book flight to arrive by 10am. Meals included: Dinner.

Day 2

Havana. Admire the views of Havana as you cruise into port this morning. Discover history of the city on a walking tour of Habana Vieja on your People-to-People excursion led by knowledgeable local guides. Enrich Tonight at Castillo del Morro witness the age-old tradition of the firing of the cannon with the backdrop of the floodlit city. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 3

Havana > At Sea. Relax and discover the range of facilities available on board. Choose to take a cooking class of Cuban specialties in Scenic Epicure, listen to a fascinating discussion on Cuban culture and history or learn how to make the signature Cuban cocktail, a Mojito. Day 4

Isla de la Juventud. Freechoice. Choose a People-to-People excursion by Zodiac or kayak to learn about the natural environment and conservation programs. Alternatively tour the World Communist University and Presidio Modelo. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 5

Cayo Largo Sur > Cienfuegos. Freechoice. Choose a People-to-People excursion by Zodiac or kayak to learn about the natural environment and conservation programs. Alternatively visit the sea turtle breeding centre and be educated by the staff about their important preservation programme for this endangered species. Arrive this afternoon at the small port city of Cienfuegos, known as the “Pearl of the South”. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 6

Cienfuegos > Casilda. Freechoice. Choose from a People-to-People walking tour of the historic centre and visiting a ration shop or discovering Jardín Botánico and learning about Cuban ecology from your expert local guide. Alternatively visit Playa Girón and at the museum discover the history of the Bay of Pigs skirmish. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.

Day 7

Casilda (Trinidad). Explore the well-preserved World Heritage-listed colonial city of Trinidad on your People-to-People excursion where your knowledgeable local guide will discuss the history of sugar cane and its importance to the Cuban economy as you wander the charming cobblestone streets and interact with the residents.

Day 8

Santiago de Cuba. Cruise past the impressive Castillo del la Roca at the entrance to the bay of Santiago de Cuba. Freechoice. Choose a People-to-People excursion to the important religious shrine of El Cobre or discover an important part of Cuban history at Moncada Barracks and Santa Ifigenia Cemetary. Sundowners. Day 9

Day 10

Tour the birthplace of Fidel and Raul Castro or visit a local farm and school. Alternatively be immersed in Cuban culture with a dance or percussion class in the community hall. Havana. On your People-to-People excursion, learn about the history of the revolution as you take a ride in a 1950’s vintage car and visit Revolution Square. Freechoice.
